9-year-old sexually assaulted by 60-year-old doctor

 The girl had gone to take medicines for her ill four-year-old sister along with their mother. However, she was allegedly asked to wait outside. Waiting for a long time, the mother entered the room and saw the doctor trying to assault her daughter. Locals allegedly thrashed the doctor and dragged him to the local police station. He has been arrested.

According to the police, the incident came to light on Tuesday morning when the nine-year-old girl had gone with her four-year-old sister. Taking advantage of their mother’s absence, the doctor asked the youngest one to sit quietly in a corner while he ordered the nine-year-old girl to lie down.

Police said that the he was allegedly trying to sexually assault the child when her mother came inside the room and raised an alarm. Locals who were present at the clinic gathered inside the room and started thrashing the doctor.

They then took the doctor to the local police station where a case was registered under relevant sections of the POCSO Act against him, said police.

Meanwhile, the nine-year-old girl was sent for medical examination which confirmed sexual assault.
