76 Naxals killed, 665 held in 4 months in 2016

At least 76 Naxals were killed and 665 arrested by security forces in the Left Wing Extremism-hit areas in the first four months of 2016, Home Ministry officials said.
Security forces have achieved greater success in tackling Left Wing Extremism in recent times and there was 30 per cent decline in violence perpetrated by Maoists this year.
About 76 Maoist cadres were killed between January and April this year against 15 in the corresponding period of 2015.
