71 killed in rains, landslides in Pakistan

The death toll in heavy rains in northwest Pakistan and in PoK during the weekend has reached 71, officials said on Tuesday.
Heavy rains started on Saturday night, wreaking havoc in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P)province, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltisitan regions. National Disaster Management Authority said that the 71 people have been killed and 53 injured while 370 houses were destroyed. 48 people were killed in K-P, 15 in Gilgit-Baltisitan and eight in
Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” the NDMA said.
Ten more people were found dead in the K-P province after the weekend downpour triggered landslides and collapsed the roofs of dozens of houses.
