65-year-old pavement dweller killed in accident, three injured

In a case of reckless driving, a 65-year-old pavement dweller was killed along with three other dwellers who sustained injuries in an accident on Mathura Road on Friday.
‘The accused has been arrested. The two cars Honda CRV and I-20, were trying to overtake each other near National Zoological Park on Mathura Road around 2 am. When the Honda driver swerved the vehicle to the right, he lost control and hit a tree’, informs an eyewitness.
‘It was all so sudden that I-20 car driver also swerved and hit a pavement dweller before coming to a halt. One of the wheels of I-20 also came loose due to the impact of the accident,’ he added.
The pavement dweller along with the three of the occupants of I-20 were injured in the accident. The pavement dweller died during treatment. The driver, Vikas Sharma, was also injured in the accident and later arrested.
