50-yr-old truck driver found dead at Singhu border in Alipur area

A 50-year-old truck driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his truck at the Singhu border in Outer Delhi’s Alipur area on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Sharma.

According to the police, the incident came to light at around 10:30 am on Friday when a local saw a driver lying motionless inside the truck. The truck had caused traffic snarls in the adjoining road. A PCR call was made after which the police rushed the body to BJRM hospital.

“Initial investigation shows that there were no external injury marks on the driver’s body. We are assuming that he died of natural causes. 

We will get the post-mortem examination conducted after which we will register a case,” said a senior investigating official.

Police are analysing the CCTV footage of the area to establish if the driver was alive when he crossed the toll plaza at the Singhu border. Further investigation is underway.
