‘50% missing people in Delhi are women’

More than 50 per cent of over 5,000 people, including 1,766 children, who went missing so far this year in the national capital were women.
The number of women who are yet to be traced is also above the 50 per cent mark. This was disclosed by minister of state for home Mullappally Ramachandran in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha.
According to the statistics, a total of 5,119 people went missing in the capital this year till 15 April out of which 2,699 were women.
