5 held in Gurgaon for abduction, gang-rape

Five persons have been arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 32-year-old woman in Gurgaon, police said on Saturday.
On receiving a tip-off on Friday night that a woman who had been kidnapped from DLF Phase-5 in Gurgaon was held captive in Bajirabad village, police raided the place and rescued her from a locked house and arrested the five accused, a Haryana police spokesperson said. The victim had injuries all over her body and was bleeding profusely from her head, police said.
In her complaint the victim said on April 1, when she was sleeping in her room somebody knocked at her door around 11 pm, police said. The five accused put her in an autorickshaw, assaulted and stripped her. One of the accused hit her on the head which caused profuse bleeding, they said.
They then took her to the room and called a doctor who treated her head injury and later allegedly gang-raped her, police added.
