400 private bus permits restored

The Delhi government has reinstated the permits of about 400 private bus operators out of 2,579, whose permits were cancelled due to their addresses being found to be incorrect by Delhi Police.
The state transport department earlier this month decided to give last chance to operators of contract and mini buses, whose permits had been cancelled. ‘Out of 2,579 private bus operators, we have reinstated the permits of about 400,’ said a senior official of transport department.
The official said they had asked all such operators to get their new addresses endorsed in the registration certificate so that their permits could be reinstated.
