40-yr-old widow alleges gangrape

On Monday morning, a 40-year-old widow was allegedly gangraped by three persons in Ghaziabad. The woman claimed that she knew one person whom she met few days ago in Sector 63, Noida. The woman is a resident of Vijay Nagar in Ghaziabad.
'On Monday morning, the guy had met the woman and informed her that he has bought a new home in Ghaziabad. He invited her to attend a 'Grih Pravesh' ceremony that was on the same day. Later, he invited her to come along with him as he himself was going to his place. The woman went with him in a local tempo,' said a senior police officer.
He added that the woman was taken to a bus stand. Then the man offered her a cold drink, after drinking which the felt sleepy. One of the accused's friends also joined them at the same time. They took her to a building under construction in Shalimar Garden. There they raped the woman. Later, one of the neighbours also joined them and raped her. The woman underwent medical examination, but the reports are yet to come.
This is the second case of gangrape that has come to light in a matter of days in Ghaziabad. Earlier, a girl was gangraped in Mahagun Metro Mall in its underground parking. Later, both the accused were arrested by the police.
