40-yr-old builder brutally thrashed in Rohini

In a latest road rage incident, a 40-year-old builder was thrashed brutally by four unidentified men when his Swift Dzire car touched a scooty that belonged to one of them at the Outer Ring Road near Madhuban Chowk in Rohini on Tuesday morning. Police have registered a case and are on the look out for the culprits.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 11 am when Gaurav Sharma, the injured was heading towards his office in Rohini when his car slightly touched a scooty.

“Two people on the scooty started an argument that turned violent when two more men joined them and started beating Sharma with an iron rod ruthlessly. Both his legs have been fractured,” said a senior Delhi Police official.

Meanwhile, police alleged that no PCR call was received by them. “Sharma has been admitted to hospital where he is undergoing treatment.” Vijay Singh, DCP (Northwest) said: “We have registered a case at the Maurya Enclave police station. Probe is on.” 

“We are trying to establish the identity of the culprits who thrashed Gaurav,” said an investigating officer. Police are trying to scan through the CCTV footage of the area and are also questioning locals to establish the exact sequence of events.
