32-year-old woman commits suicide in E Delhi

A 32-year-old woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan in northeast Delhi’s Khajoori Khas area. No suicide note has been recovered from her possession.
The victim has been identified as Anju, a resident of Chandu Nagar in Khajoori Khas. She was living with her husband, Ashish and two sons. The incident took place on Wednesday night.
According to police, on Wednesday night she was sitting with her family and was having a discussion regarding their son’s further studies. They, reportedly had an argument over the matter.
Later, she went to her room and locked it from inside. After an hour when she did not open the door after repeated knocks, Ashish broke open the door with the help of his sons and found her hanging.
A call to the police control room was made by them and a team reached the spot. She was rushed to the nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
If sources are to be believed, Anju often had quarrels with her husband regarding their kids studies.
‘We are questioning the family members and the investigation is underway. The body has been sent for the post-mortem examination and the reports are awaited,’ the police official said. Further investigations are underway, police said.
