30-yr-old widow alleges molestation by baba

A 30-year widow woman has alleged that a baba has molested and attempted to rape her on Monday evening. The incident was reported from Nizzamudin area of south-east Delhi. The victim, a resident of Mehrauli area, is having two children.
The victim is staying in a rented accommodation at Mehrauli after her husband passed away in an accident last year. She was visiting a baba near Nizzamudin dargah for the past few days to seek blessings and medicine for her elder son, who was ill.
On Monday, when the victim went to the baba at dargah to take medicines, finding her alone, he allegedly molested the woman. Even after her resistance, the accused person attempted to rape her. But, somehow, she managed to escape.
Later, she approached local police station and narrated the incident. An FIR has been lodged against the accused person who is yet to be apprehended.
A case under the sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC has been registered against him. ‘We are trying to trace the accused person, the police official said.
