3-year-old boy dies after falling from balcony

A three-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries after he fell from the fourth floor of the building in South-east Delhi’s New Friends Colony area on Sunday evening. According to police, on Sunday at around 8.30 pm, Geeta was cooking at her rented residence on the fourth floor in Taimoor Nagar. Meanwhile, her son, Yash who was playing in the balcony reached the grills of the balcony. Due to some gap between the grills, he crossed them and fell on the ground.

When locals raised an alarm, Geeta got to know about the incident and she rushed him to the nearby hospital from where he was referred to Holy Family hospital. Meanwhile, local police were also informed. In the meantime, Yash’s father Ravindra Pal, who is a driver of an advocate reached the hospital.

During treatment, Yash succumbed to his injuries on the late hours of Sunday. His body has been sent for the post-mortem and a case of negligence has been registered against the landlord.

It was learnt that Yash was the only child of the couple who got married in 2011 and since then they were living in Taimoor Nagar.
