3 Pak smugglers killed; heroin, AK-47 recovered

Three Pakistani smugglers were shot dead during a failed infiltration attempt and 24kg heroin worth Rs 120 crore recovered from them along with weapons by BSF personnel.
According to BSF Inspector General (Punjab Frontier) Ajay Tomar, the three intruders had on Friday night crossed over into Indian territory when they were challenged by a BSF patrol near the Indo-Pak border at Mullapur village. Asked to surrender, the intruders responded by opening fire, prompting the BSF personnel to retaliate, killing the trio. A massive search operation was launched near the border area during which the bodies of the trio were found with bullet injuries. Security personnel recovered 24 kg heroin along with one AK 47 rifle and two pistols.
