3 militants gunned down as Army foils infiltration bid

Three militants were killed on Sunday as the Army foiled an infiltration bid near the Line of Control in Tangdhar sector of Kashmir.

"The infiltration bid was foiled in the wee hours today as a group of heavily armed terrorists were crossing the LoC," an Army official said.  This is the second infiltration bid by militants in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district within a week. Three militants have been killed, while the operation is still in progress, the official said. The bodies of the militants have been recovered along with three weapons.
