3 held for murdering man

The Gurgaon Police arrested three men who allegedly murdered a 25-year-old man, a month ago, as the latter had repeatedly verbally abused one of them, police said on Tuesday. According to the police, Arun, alias Jhage, of Islampur village on the Sohna Road was found dead near the village community centre on February 9. Police arrested three men in connection with the murder — Satpal, alias Rahul (23), from Islampur, Preetpal, alias Chunmun (26), from Jharsa and Laxman (29) from Palwal district of Haryana. Hawa Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police said: “During interrogation, it was revealed that Preetpal had a fight with Arun over extortion from auto-rickshaw drivers. Satpal shot Arun dead because he used to abuse him. Preetpal arranged an illegal pistol as he too had differences with Arun,” a police official said.
