3 Darjeeling youths thrashed in Ggn

Three youths from Darjeeling, residing at Nathupur village in Gurgaon, were allegedly beaten up by their landlord’s son and his associates on May 17 night, police said on Tuesday.
The youths were rushed to a local hospital and admitted with severe injuries.
From there, they were referred to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where they are still undergoing treatment.
The police registered a case on Tuesday at DLF <g data-gr-id="29">Phase II</g> police station under relevant sections of the law and arrested five accused persons. They were identified as Naresh Gujjar, Rampal Devi Singh, Gaurav <g data-gr-id="30">Girender</g>, <g data-gr-id="31">Bhure</g> Singh and Balram Harilal, confirmed a senior police official.
However, the cops are yet to answer what took them so long to register the case. It was reportedly registered only after <g data-gr-id="28">intervention</g> of a senior bureaucrat, a politician and a BJP member. Some youths from the North-Eastern regions of India also protested outside the police station on Tuesday.
The three youths identified as Abhishek Rai, Sagar Rai and Dev Kumar Subba belong to the Tista Valley Garden in Darjeeling and they work at private firms in Gurgaon. They had rented a room in Nathupura village, which is also inhabited by many North-Eastern youths living as tenants.
The three youths had an altercation with the landlord’s son Naresh Gujjar, who soon gathered some locals in the area and thrashed the three youths severely with sticks.
