3 CRPF personnel injured in Ch’garh landmine blast

An assistant commandant of CRPF and two other personnel were today injured in a landmine blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 168th battalion’s assistant commandant Madhukumar, and inspectors T A Khan and Manoj Kumar D were injured when they came in contact with a landmine which exploded on Avapalli road under Basaguda police station limits in Bijapur, a senior police official said over phone. A team of CRPF had been sent for patrolling this morning. When the security personnel reached the Avapalli road, they got information about a landmine having been laid there underground, he said. The bomb disposal squad of CRPF immediately started efforts to take it to the landmine but it exploded and three personnel sustained injuries, he said.
