27-year-old’s driving lesson proves deadly for 55-yr-old

In a tragic incident, a 55-year-old man was crushed to death by a 27-year-old woman, who was learning to drive from her husband in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden area on Wednesday evening.
After rushing him to the hospital the couple fled. However, the police nabbed the accused later in the evening.

The incident took place at about 6.30 pm when Manisha Grover was learning driving from her husband and she lost control of the car. The horrific incident was caught on camera where the victim, whose torso was under the Wagon R car was seen being dragged for several feet before the vehicle hit a parked Santro.

The husband of the accused then picked him up and took him to the hospital in the same car.
Both of them rushed the victim to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital but soon fled as his condition deteriorated. The case, however, was solved within hours of the occurrence with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the market by the shopkeepers on the insistence of the local police. Manisha Grover was arrested from her home in Subhash Nagar, though she was later released on bail as it was a bail-able offence.

According to police, they got information from the DDU Hospital that an unidentified man, who was injured in an accident, was admitted by some unknown persons.
