24-year-old travel agent molested in Chanakyapuri

A 24-year-old woman, who works in a travel agency, was allegedly molested by two men at Buddha Garden near Chanakyapuri when she was with her male friend. One of the accused posed as a policeman and is absconding while the other was nabbed by the couple.

The incident took place on Thursday when the victim along with her friend went to Buddha Garden. Before they could enter the garden, two men stopped them and told them that the entry was closed. 

They took the victim’s friend to a corner and charged Rs 200 as bribe. 

According to the victim, after taking the bribe they allowed them to enter the garden. Suspecting that something was going wrong, the victim asked them to show their ID cards. The duo refused  and allegedly molested her and thrashed her friend very badly. 

Somehow, the couple managed to nab one of the accused while the other who was posing as a policeman managed to escape.

A case under the relevant sections including molestation charges has been registered against the two accused.
