He further said that Sharan could not escape because the central lock system of the case might have become ineffective as the power supply inside the vehicle was snapped by the impact of the crash.

“The incident was reported at around 5.45 am, following which a team rushed to the spot and the victim was brought out of the car with the help of <g data-gr-id="31">fire fighters</g> and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead,” the official said.

He further added that it took quite some time for the cops to ascertain Sharan’s identity, after which his family members were informed about the accident.

Sharan had his own restaurant at West Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area. According to Delhi Fire Services, they had got a call at around 5:35 am and they had sent one fire tender to the spot to douse the flames. <g data-gr-id="25">Fire fighters</g> pulled out the <g data-gr-id="27">man</g> but he could not be saved.

In another incident on May 13, a 42-year-old man was charred to death when his car caught fire at the Surajkund-Pali Road in Faridabad. He owned a diesel-run Chevrolet Sail which was reported to be almost two months old. The man could not escape as the central lock system of the car was suspected to have failed after a short circuit.

However, the actual reason behind the fire could not be ascertained yet.
