23-year-old mowed down by speeding car at Connaught Place

According to senior police officers of New Delhi district, the accident took place at around 2:30 am when Kundan was walking on the road at the Outer Circle when he was hit by a speeding Chevrolet car. 

After hitting him, the errant driver fled the spot leaving behind the vehicle. Some passers-by spotted Kundan lying in a pool of blood and made a PCR call after which police rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on admission.

Police further added that Kundan used to work at a service centre in Ghazipur. He was married and is 

survived by his wife and a child.“A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered at the Connaught Place police station against the errant driver. 

Efforts are on to nab the accused at the earliest. Police are going through CCTV footage near the spot to establish the identity of the accused. Further investigation is on,” said a senior police official.
