23-year-old gang-raped by five, two held

A 23 year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Pataudi village on Saturday evening. 

The police said the girl was taken to the fields and raped by one Sonu on the pretext of a job. He then allegedly invited four of his friends, who also raped the girl. 

The police said that two of the accused identified as Sandeep (22), a resident of Janola village, and Girvar (40) have been arrested, adding that a hunt is on to nab the other three accused.

According to the police, the girl’s medical test has confirmed sexual assault. The girl has told the police the names of all five accused. 

Sandeep and Girvar have been arrested under Sections 363, 365, 376 G, 506 of the Indian Penal Code, police said.

According to sources, the girl and the five accused were of the same village and knew each other.
