A 21-year-old student of fashion designing was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by four-five men in Mathura. The girl managed to rescue herself and lodged a complaint at the Neb Sarai police station.
On 30 October, she was allegedly kidnapped by a man named Survesh on knife-point. The girl was forced to cover her face with her duppatta and was taken to Nizzamudin police station in an auto rickshaw. From the railway station, another man known to Survesh accompanied the girl and made her sit in the train going to Mathura.
The girl was taken to a residence where she was gang-raped by four-five unidentified men for six consecutive days. On Tuesday, she somehow managed to return to Delhi and late in the late evening filed a case at Neb Sarai police station. The medical examination has confirmed gang rape.
However, on Wednesday morning when police officers visited the victim at her residence in Neb Sarai to record her statement, she refused to cooperate with the officers. The victim’s family said that she is not well and as soon as she will recover from the trauma, she will give her statement.
‘Raids are being conducted at several places to nab the accused. A case under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code including gang rape and kidnapping has been registered against unknown persons,’ police said.
