20-yr-old student from Assam killed in accident

A 20-year old student was killed in an accident in North-West Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar area in the wee hours of Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Prinayan Barua, a 20-year-old student of Ramjas College.
A native of Assam, Barua and his friend Manas Dutta were returning to their house in Mukherjee Nagar after attending a Bihu party when the accident took place.
The police said that the duo was drunk and their Yamaha motorcycle collided against the divider while negotiating a sharp turn in Mukherjee Nagar’s Camp Chowk around 1.30 am on Wednesday.
The police said the motorbike was speeding. Barua, who was riding the motorcycle, died of head injuries. No helmet was recovered from the spot and the police have registered a case of rash driving and negligence, causing death, in connection with the incident at Mukherjee Nagar police station.
