Agitated locals of Jain Nagar started blaming Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) for the death of a 20-year-old youth, who died of electrocution at Jain Nagar in Delhi, on Thursday night.
The youth, Kamal Kant (20), had stepped on a live electric wire when he was going towards his residence around 9:30 pm on Thursday, which led to his death on spot. Soon, agitated locals started blaming TPDDL for ignorance, said a police official.
TPDDL replied that it is an encroachment issue. It has observed numerous temporary and permanent structures in very close proximity to the distribution and transmission lines of TPDDL, and the victim’s house was one amongst them.
