2 unidentified bikers flee with Rs 2L

Two bike-borne snatchers fled after snatching a bag from a person containing about Rs 2 lakh in Preet Vihar on Thursday. Minutes after a man came out of a bank with the said amount of about Rs 2 lakh, two unidentified bikers approached him and snatched the bag away containing the money. The man had reportedly kept the bag on his motorcycle and was getting ready to <g data-gr-id="33">aboard</g> it when the perpetrators committed the crime. 

An FIR was lodged under the appropriate sections of the IPC against unknown people at Preet Vihar police station. According to police, the CCTV footages are being checked and an attempt to ascertain the identities of the duo is under process. The police source also hinted that the role of the complainant is not being ruled out and thus he too was quizzed. 

“We have seen such cases earlier too where the complainant himself is a part of the robbery, thus we cannot rule out his (the complainant) role,” said a police source privy to the investigation. <g data-gr-id="37">Probe</g> is on and the police are said to be preparing sketches of the two accused. The police are trying to hunt down the snatchers. No arrests were made till late night on Thursday.
