2 trucks collide on VIP Road

There was massive traffic jam on VIP Road on Saturday morning following a collision between two trucks.

A loaded truck going along the VIP Road towards Ultadanga hit another truck from behind near the airport intersection. The drivers and helpers of both the vehicles were injured and admitted to hospital. Traffic movement along VIP Road was suspended for quite some time. Later, a huge contingent of police reached the spot and cleared the traffic congestion. The damaged vehicles were towed away.

The police said a police team tried to stop the truck which was going towards Ultadanga. The driver dodged the police team and hit another truck from behind. The truck driver lost control and hit 

the railings.
