2 more arrested for Delhi Police constable’s murder

The police, on Wednesday night arrested two more accused for murder of constable Jagveer Singh during a shoot out in Delhi’s Vijay Vihar area on 13 October.

While one of them have been identified as Tridev (18), the other accused is juvenile. The police informed that the accused don’t have any past history of criminal cases lodged against them.
Four accused have been arrested in the case so far, while the fifth one, also suspected to be a juvenile, is still at large.

On the wee hours of 13 October, constable Jagveer Singh (42) and Narender Kumar (42) of Vijay Vihar were shot by five men in an auto-rickshaw when they were asked to stop. While Jagveer Singh succumbed to his injuries, constable Narender is still undergoing treatment.

Police arrested two accused — Santosh (23) and Ved Rampal (32) on the next day. While Santosh is a history-sheeter, Ved Rampal had recently joined the gang.  

The special task force helped police solve the blind murder case. The task force had informed Delhi Police that some men had started a new burglary gang in Vijay Vihar. Soon, a raid was conducted and Santosh and Ved Rampal were arrested from the Shahbad Dairy area.
