19-year-old salesman jumps off DND flyway

In an alleged suicide bid, a youth jumped from the Delhi-Noida-Delhi (DND) flyover in the Yamuna river, bringing traffic on the busy route to a grinding halt here on Monday afternoon. The 19-year-old youth, identified as Rohit, resides at a JJ Colony in Taimoor Nagar village. Two fire tenders and several divers were pressed into search and rescue operations after Rohit jumped from the flyover. He remained untraceable till reports last came in. His friends said Rohit was depressed after he was fired from his job as a salesman in a Lajpat Nagar showroom.
