17-year-old domestic help hangs self

A 17-year-old girl, working as a domestic help, was on Thursday found hanging at her employer’s flat in Sushant Lok, Gurgaon, police said.

The deceased was identified as Khushboo, daughter of Sulendra and was known to hail from Nalanda in Bihar, was found dead in the servant’s room of the flat in Magnolia Apartments in Sector 42. Police officer Kailash Kumar said prima facie it seemed Khushboo committed suicide but the reason behind this extreme step was clear neither to the employers nor to the police. According to the police, the deceased had been working with them for over a year now. According to the information received from the sources, there was no suicide note found at the spot. 

The girl’s family had been living in Sikanderpur area on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road for the last one decade. Since the girl’s family had come late to the police, the post-mortem could not be conducted and the body has been shifted to the mortuary. No arrest has been made so far.
