16-year-old boy commits suicide for failing in exam

A student of Class XI committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room in a government boys’ inter-college in Greater Noida.

According to police Hemant Kumar Baghel, 16, hanged himself with the  help of a bedsheet in his room and his body was discovered on Thursday afternoon.

‘He failed in his last year examination and was disturbed due to year loss. Further, he was not paying attention to his studies and was engaged in drug addiction,’ said Naresh Kumar, warden of the hostel.

Baghel hails from Kanshi Ram Nagar district and was residing in the hostel of Gautam Buddha Nagar Boys Inter-College, the only completely residential government school in Greater Noida.
