Around 150 people who came to appear for recruitment exam of postman and mail guard could not give their exam. They allege that few examination centres did not allow them to enter the premises after 9.25 am while other centres allowed entry till 10 am.
“My centre was at Gargi Sarvodaya Vidhalaya at Green Park. In our centre the entry was not allowed after 9.25 am while the entry was up to 9.30 am. I just got 10 minutes late and I was not allowed to take my exam. This happened with so many students. Around 150 students got affected,” said Anil, who applied for post of postman.
Students alleged that centres at Kalkaji, RK Puram and Mansarovar Park did not show any flexibility in timings due to which
many students suffered. Students also staged protest outside the centres in regard with same.
“It’s winter season and due to weather situations, one gets late. They could have at least given us 15 minutes extra for entering the premises. Many centres allowed entry till 10 am,” said another student.
India Post (Delhi Postal Circle) under Ministry of Communications held recruitment exam for 740 posts, in which 8 posts were for Mail Guard and 732 posts were reserved for postman. The written examination for the same was conducted at various centres on Sunday.
