15-yr-old raped by hospital staff in Outer Delhi

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a non-nursing staff of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Outer Delhi on late Sunday night. The accused has been arrested and sent to the judicial custody.

The incident took place when the girl stayed overnight at the hospital to take care of his brother who is admitted at the hospital. Her brother, who is five-year-old, was suffering from breathing problems and had been admitted on Sunday.

At midnight, when her brother’s condition began to worsen, she rushed towards the corridor to seek help from the nursing staff. According to the victim, when she was walking in the corridors, Manjeet, a non-nursing staff, allegedly pulled her inside the changing room and raped her.

She told police that when she tried to raise an alarm when he threatened to kill her. After he released her, she rushed to the same ward and narrated the incident to a woman seated in the same ward where her brother is admitted.

The woman further informed the hospital staff and they nabbed the accused. Meanwhile, the hospital staff made a call to the police control room and the PCR team along with the local police reached the spot and apprehended him.

After conducting the medical examination of the girl, Manjeet was booked under the relevant sections.
