Depressed over her poor results in the class X examination, a teenaged girl committed suicide by jumping off the seventh floor of an under-construction building.
Jyoti, 15, was found lying in a pool of blood by a labourer at the construction site of the Maharaja Agrasen Hospital at Dwarka, a police officer said. No suicide note  was found, police said.
The victim’s family told police that she was not satisfied with her class X examination results and had been depressed since the results were announce. She had wanted to study Science and become an engineer, but because of her poor score, her school had refused to allow her to take up Science for class XI and XII.  This made her very upset. 'Seeing her depression, we had asked her to drop one year and re-appear for her  class 10 examinations, but she didn’t respond to that proposal,' Jyoti’s family told police.
Her father is a property dealer in Dwarka Sector-1. On Sunday morning, Jyoti went outside without informing her parents. A man-hunt was launched for her and then her parents informed the police that she was missing.Â
