14-yr-old rapes minor in Seemapuri

Rape, molestation and incest, reports of sexual abuse, particularly against minors, continued to pour in on Wednesday, further highlighting the increasing vulnerability of women and children in the national capital.
Another rape case of a minor was reported from the Seemapuri area of north east Delhi on Wednesday, where a six-year-old girl was raped by a juvenile during the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The accused juvenile has been apprehended.
According to police, both the victim and the accused are neighbours, and live with their parents in the Seemapuri area, on the outskirts of the capital. Their parents work as daily wage labourers in the area.
'At around 3am, when the minor was sleeping in her house, the juvenile noticed that she was alone at home and dragged her to an empty plot nearby, where he allegedly raped. He then threatened her and warned her against complaining about the incident.
However, the victim raised an alarm, after which several persons rushed to the spot and caught the accused red handed,' said the police.
A police control room (PCR) call was made by the neighbours and a team of police was sent to the spot. The victim was immediately sent to the nearby Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) hospital where she underwent treatment for the bruises she had sustained all over her body.
A medical examination was conducted that confirmed rape, after which a case of rape, under relevant provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, has been registered and the 14-year-old juvenile has been apprehended based on the statement of the victim.
The juvenile will be produced before a Juvenile Justice Board on Thursday.
Doctors at the GTB hospital said that the minor is out of danger and was discharged from the hospital late on Wednesday evening.
MAN HELD FOR RAPING STEP-DAUGHTERS
A man was on Friday arrested by the city police after his step-daughters accused him of committing rape three months back, when the family was living here.
The victims, aged 14 and 10, have alleged that when the family was staying in Gurgaon, their step-father Sachin had assaulted them sexually, ACP Poonam Dalal said, adding, the family had recently shifted to Delhi.
A Gurgaon Police team arrested Sachin after being informed by the Delhi police about the case, Dalal said.
Further investigation is being carried out by the Gurgaon police, she said.
