12-year-old girl killed by boyfriend over infidelity

In yet another case of crime committed against minors in the national Capital, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her 19-year-old friend and his juvenile accomplice for allegedly having an affair with someone else, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the girl was taken to the woods near north Delhi’s Alipur area, not very far away from her locality, where she was stabbed to death by Karan (19) and his friend, who was later reported to be 17 years old. Around 10.30 pm on the night of 6 December, the girl’s father reported at Mahendra Park police station that his daughter was missing.
When police questioned her parents, they mentioned about her friend, Karan. When Karan was interrogated, he told police that he had allegedly stabbed the girl to death, taking her to the woods near Alipur.
After a thorough search, police found the girl’s body on the intervening night between 7 and 8 December, said a senior police official.
After further interrogation, Karan told police that he suspected the victim of having an affair with someone else. On 6 December evening, he took the girl to the woods, with his juvenile friend, for a walk and stabbed her to death, with the juvenile’s help.
After Karan was arrested and booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC, police went to the juvenile’s house and apprehended him.
Locals of Mahendra Park later alleged that the girl was raped before being killed. However, police said that can be clarified only when the autopsy report is released.
