12-12-12: Twelve babies born in Jalpaiguri hospital

Twelve babies were born on Wednesday (12-12-12), considered a special day, at the Jalpaiguri Sadar hospital here, hospital sources said. Twelve babies were born today at the hospital and all the deliveries were normal, hospital Superintendent B Majumdar said.
All the 12 babies are fine, Majumdar added. ‘Wednesday’s date, 12-12-12, is considered auspicious by some, doomed by others, and just plain easy to remember by many. 12 December, 2012 or 12-12-12 will be the last date of its kind – when all three numerical in a date are the same – for the next 88 years. The next time this will happen is on January 1, 2101, or 01-01-01.
