One such incident of shop burglary was reported at Samsung Showroom Plaza at shop at Yusuf Sarai Market in New Delhi on 9 September. The complainant, Sanjay Bakshi, owner of the showroom, reported that around 6 am, the security guard of the market informed him that the shutter of his showroom was bent and lifted upwards.
A complaint was then lodged at Hauz Khas police station. During inspection of the crime scene, a mobile phone was found on the spot, which neither belonged to the owner nor to the employees of the showroom. Further scrutiny of the mobile revealed that it had a number of Bihar Circle. Later it was confirmed that the mobile belonged to a member of the gang and was accidentally left behind in the showroom.
‘It was revealed that the accused persons were staying in village Jamrudpur and the gang moved out in the early hours,’ said Sharma.
The main kingpins of this gang are Uppender Tadi, Santosh Kumar and Mohammad Israfil alias Jugnu. They roped in other associates belonging to their native place in village Ghodasahan of Motihari for quick money. These persons lured the youths of their native place to Delhi and other metros.
