1 NDMC official suspended, another shunted out after Rajnath’s visit

A senior official of one of the city’s municipal corporations was on Tuesday suspended and another shunted out for alleged dereliction of duty after Home Minister Rajnath Singh paid a surprise visit to the civic body’s office to see its work.
North Delhi Municipal Corporation on Tuesday relieved Hemendra Kumar, Deputy Commissioner (city zone), of his responsibility with immediate effect and repatriated him to his parent Indian Railway Traffic service. Sanitation Superintendent of NDMC’s city zone Mohan Singh has been placed under suspension by NDMC, an official spokesperson said.
