Erasing all its early gains, shares of HCL Technologies on Tuesday ended lower as the company posted 0.2 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the December quarter. The scrip of the software services major ended 0.58 per cent down at Rs 838.50 on BSE. During the day, it had gained 3.17 per cent to Rs 870.15, but lost ground on emergence of profit-booking.
