New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday said that they have arrested a person believed to be a conspirator in the recent gang war case in Dwarka Mor area.
The accused provided information to the shooters, who carried out shootout and provided live tracking information.
Police identified the accused as Gopal Krishan. He was arrested from Najafgarh Uttam Nagar Road. On May 19, the gunfight was reported from Dwarka Mod metro station area.
Two gangsters named Praveen Gahlot and Vikas Dalal died during the three-way gunfight between gangsters and police.
During the exercise, it was ascertained that jailed gangster Pradeep Solanki had given the task of eliminating the deceased Praveen Gahlot to his associates outside the jail, as there was some dispute over a piece of land, worth Crores of rupees, in Uttam Nagar.
Solanki, sitting inside the jail, coordinated the plan and task his most trusted men to work with Vikas Dalal.
On the day of the incident the accused reached near Nawada Metro Station on a motorcycle to track the movements of Praveen while Vikas Dalal, along with his two aids waited in a swift car for the exact information from accused.
DCP (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said after waiting for long, Gopal Krishan spotted Praveen in his Ritz car going towards Dwarka Mod Metro Station. He passed this information to Vikas Dalal, who immediately started trailing the Ritz car and committed the crime.
