Najafgarh gym trainer gunned down for uncleared dues

New Delhi: Initial investigation in Mohit Mor murder case in Najafgarh has led police to believe that the gym trainer was gunned down for money.

Sources said that he was supposed to give at least Rs 8-10 lakh to some people and after he was unable to pay the amount despite several warning he was murdered by armed assailants in the market on Tuesday evening. The assailants have been identified by the police as they left trail in the CCTV cameras.

"We are also investigating if he had some scuffle some days back with a group and if the murder was the outcome of that. However, the money angle looks more prominent and we have based our inquiry over it. Only after the assailants are caught we would be more clear about the motive, we have identified the assailants and our teams are working on it," said a senior police officer.

It is still not clear if Mohit Mor, a gym trainer and a Tik Tok sensation was involved with any criminals in the area.

Though the police has denied his involvement with any gang and said there was no case registered against him.

The nature of money transaction is also not known if the money he was in debt was actually taken or was the outcome of some betting syndicate.

Cops are probing the money trail through the contacts of the deceased and bank transactions.

Mohit who had over five lakh followers on Tik Tok was brutally shot dead by three assailants when he came to a friends photocopy and documentation centre in Najafgarh.

He was surrounded and was shot dead on Tuesday evening. Mohit was a resident of Bahadurgarh, Haryana and resided in Najafgarh. Just before his murder he also made some Tik Tok videos and uploaded it on the app.
