A youth was brutally killed when he went to one of his relatives’ house to settle a family feud. The incident took place at Telipara area of Siliguri on Sunday. The victim, Dayal Pal, went to his aunt’s house at Ashighar village of Telipara, to settle a family quarrel when the son of his aunt Kartick Pal had hit on his head with a sharp weapon. He fell on the ground. The local people found him in a pool of blood and rushed him to Siliguri district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Local people have alleged that the aunt’s husband had instigated his son to attack the victim with a sharp weapon. Police have started an investigation in this regard. They have arrested Kartick on the charges of killing Dayal who had gone to their house only to settle a family quarrel. The accused’s father Mahadeb Pal has been absconding since the incident had taken place. Police are conducting raids to nab him.
