Siliguri: As a run-up to Sahid Divas slated for 21st July, the Trinamool Youth Congress organised a bike rally in Siliguri on Monday.
The rally had started around 11:30 am from Fulbari market place and covered areas of Uttarkanya, Shantipara, Eastern Bypass and Salugara.
During a recent visit to Siliguri, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had talked about calling a mass rally on the brigade ground in the winters, where she would also invite the opposition parties.
The rally celebrating the 25th Martyr's Day was aimed at showing strength of the party with more than 200 bikes being brought in and it continued for more than two hours.
