Swami Smarananandaji has become the new president of Ramakrisahna Math and Mission and Swami Suvirananda, general secretary of the Order which was announced on Monday.
Swami Sivamayanandaji has become of the vice-president. Swami Smarananandaji was earlier one of the vice-presidents. He had served in many centres of the Order and was the general secretary before he took over as the vice-president. He will succeed Swami Atmasthanandaji who had died in June. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted: "Pranam and heartfelt wishes to Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj for being selected for the President of Ramakrishna Math and Mission."
