A teenage girl committed suicide on Sunday after allegedly being harassed by a local youth in North 24 Parganas district, police said. "The class 10 student from North 24 Pargana's Gaighata, allegedly committed suicide on Sunday. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling of her bedroom on Sunday," an officer from Gaighata police station said. Her family said she had previously complained of being harassed by a local guy on her way to school. Police have arrested the local youth named Tanuj Sarkar on the basis of a complaint.
