Kolkata: The investigating officers handling the murder case of Calcutta High Court lawyer Rajat Kumar Dey are mulling to reconstruct the scene in days to come.

According to the police, the motive of the murder is still unclear. Sources informed that as per the claim of Anindita Pal Dey, Rajat's wife, she had used a mobile phone charger to strangulate Rajat.

Based on her statement, the sleuths are yet to recover the mobile phone charger. Besides recovering the murder instrument, the investigators will question their neighbours, friends and relatives. According to the sources, the police are still in the dark about the incident that had taken place on

November 24 as they saw Rajat's body only after it was taken to Bidhannagar

Sub-divisional Hospital.

The turn of events that took place after Rajat's body was found to removing him to a hospital are not clear. To clear the air over the murder mystery, the sleuths are mulling to reconstruct the incident as per

Anindita's narration.

Anindita's brother will be questioned as he is the person who Anindita had informed and passed on the message of Rajat being unconscious to his father Samir Kumar Dey.

The police are not sure whether there was any third person present at the time

of incident.

"Several questions have cropped up regarding this case. We are trying find the answers. Every possible aspects are being looked into during the probe," said a senior police official of Bidhannagar Police.

As Anindita has been misleading the investigating officers since the very beginning of the case, the sleuths are not holding her statements

to be true.

To find out the truth in her statement, the police will question Rajat's neighbours. They will talk to her friends to know if she had told them about Rajat and the apparent torture that she faced from him. Anindita's mobile phone may be sent to forensic laboratory to retrieve the erased data.
