The state government will be giving job to next of kin of the victim of Sandeshkhali incident.
The elderly woman, who was a victim of a brutal sexual assault, had succumbed to her injuries in National Medical College and Hospital on August 1. The victim had succumbed to her injuries after fighting for her life for 24 days after the incident. Doctors too had given their best to save the woman.
The state government has decided to give support to the victim's family members. It has been decided that a job will be given to the next to the kin of the victim. At the same time, it has also been decided to construct houses for the four sons of the victim. It may be mentioned that since the incident had taken place, the state government had taken all necessary steps to save the woman and the police had arrested the accused in this connection.
Meanwhile, the Calcutta high court directed the state government to submit a report in this connection. The report has to be submitted within two weeks. In the report, the development of the investigation in this connection has to be properly mentioned.
The court on Friday asked the state government to submit that what steps have been taken so far in this connection. The court has asked the state about the medical reports of the woman and the post-mortem report.
It may be recalled that the woman was kidnapped and taken to a deserted place where she was sexually assaulted. She had fallen victim to the crime for protesting against open consumption of liquor.
