Kolkata: Though no foul play was detected in the primary opinion of the autopsy report of Krishna Bhattacharya, who's decomposed body was recovered on Sunday night from her house in Salt Lake, the sleuths have come to know that Maitro Bhattacharya used to beat her regularly.
According to the neighbours, they often used to hear Krishna's screams. Sources also informed that some promoters were targetting the house.
Though police got information that Maitro had some talks with a promoter but what kind of words were exchanged is not clear.
Police have admitted Krishna's son Maitro to Bidhannagar Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
On hearing his version, the sleuths suspect he might have some psychological issue. To make sure of his mental condition, they will take opinion from a psychiatrist soon.
As police haven't found any relatives of Chakraborty's in Kolkata or its adjacent areas, the body of Krishna has been preserved at R G Kar hospital after autopsy. Sources informed that after his medical check-up if he is found mentally fit, Krishna's body will be handed over to him. If not, then police will submit his medical report to Bidhannagar Court and will appeal for his treatment.
Maitro also claimed that Krishna's one leg got fractured and was unable to walk.
The sleuths suspect the leg might have been broken due to Maitro's torture.
Though some injury marks could be traced during autopsy, doctor ruled out any forceful death. It is suspected she had a cardiac arrest and as a result she died. But it cannot be confirmed till the final autopsy report comes in .
Though Maitro claimed they were Christian, the sleuths had no clues about it. During interrogation, he claimed his mother had asked him to bury her after death.
To fulfill her wish, he had planned to bury her inside the house and he sought help from one Tarun Kumar Porel of Beadon Street, who was a patient of his father Dr Gorachand Bhattacharya.
On hearing Maitro, he called up police and reported the matter.
Later, police brought Maitro and recovered Krishna's body from her house.
